Default Reaper Shortcuts While Not In Focus

Hello,

I am working on setting up a stream on Twitch while playing drums. I have a lot of things setup and working well but wanted to add a Streamdeck or something similar to make things a bit easier. For example, changing a scene in OBS all while muting a few tracks within Reaper would be very beneficial. Or being able to nudge a track volume up or down while playing along.

The issue comes from when Reaper is not in focus. I will start a song via Spotify or Youtube and start playing. When another window is in focus, no shortcuts work in Reaper, even when the "global" setting is checked. From what I understand that only works for within reaper popups like a VST.

Does anyone have any idea how to use a keyboard press to activate within Reaper globally? Any help would be appreciated!

Also you could use the now open source Web Remote Builder to make your own web interface with buttons. Like a custom Stream Deck that runs in a browser.
