Default Adding multiple TMCL values ID3 frames as metadata on render

Hi all,

I'm loving the (relatively) new metadata features added to the Render dialog.

Does anyone know if there is a way to specify multiple TMCL (Musician credits list) or similar (TIPL) in the REAPER metadata dialog?

One spec for ID3v2.4.0 says that:
Quote:
All text information frames supports multiple strings, stored as a null separated list, where null is reperesented by the termination code for the character encoding.

I've tried using \0 <backslash><zero> in the string to delimit like this:
Vocals\0The Singer\0Bass\0The Bassist
but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Hm, no, REAPER doesn't support multiple null-separated strings that way.We could pretty easily add support for it, but I'd be surprised if most applications that read the metadata would interpret it properly. Do you have an example application that you think would understand multiple strings per frame?

The only players I saw supporting nul fields were Windows Media Player and Foobar2000.
By the way, WMA tag format supported such fields way ahead ID3 2.4

By default, Vorbis comments are ment to be this way as well, but almost all players use, and apparently will use for years to come, single fields.
