Default Snap inconsistency between item left and right hand edge



The above is with snap to grid enabled. In the first example, the left edge of the item being moved snaps to the right edge of another item even though it is not on a gridline (I like). However when the item being moved is to the left, its right edge won't snap to the left hand edge of another item (I no like). Would be nice to see this fixed, or at least consistent.

I can't reproduce this, on my computer snapping ignores the item on both sides.

that's because you have an edit cursor on the left side,
to which left edge snaps, and it probably has a priority
over snap to item.

Try moving the edit cursor somewhere else or resize
the item so the left edge won't be near it, and it should
work as expected.
