HELP!

I installed 4 alpha 7a and have since gotten this message when going back to V3:

"There were 1 items in the project that were saved by extensions. If you save this project without those extensions installed, you may lose those extensions' data."

No idea what it means, but when I opened a project I'm working on currently, all of the media items appear offline!

I've uninstalled V4 and have reinstalled V3 but nothing changed.

HELP PLEASE!

Also, the video window doesn't seem to exist any more... I can't open it at all!

UPDATE...

Did a system restore to a point before I installed V4. All of the items have come back online except for the video file...

Video window still gone as well!

REAPER now displays this message when opening session:

"There were 1 media items in the project that were of a type that require an extension plug-in (the instance that saved the project had the extension plug-in)."

UPDATE...

After doing the system restore, I reinstalled 3.73 again.

All better

Is there something I should be doing when installing the V4 pres to avoid this happening again?!

Use the 'portable install' option and make sure it installs into a separate folder (I changed the install folder to 'Reaper4'). This will keep version 4 separate from your version 3 install. HTH

I had installed into a new folder but I'll tick the portable option now too.
