How about allowing us to rename all selected items? Currently the name field is grayed out when you have Item Properties opened/docked, which doesn't let us rename. Also, using some counters (folder name, track number, track name, take name, take track order, take time order, etc., see how SWS did it) would be extremely useful.

SWS extension helps here, but I believe this is a very useful thing that all users should have without installing any 3rd party extensions to Reaper!

I really like this addition, however it's opening the parent folder of the folder I've specified.

The file formatting options are great too. If we could get ID3 tag support in the 4.0 cycle, it would be great.

Other than that the only other batch converter usability improvement I can think of is remembering the history of output folders (drop-down box for the output folder)...

Pure awesomeness with this left-click marquee stuff guys!!

One thing that seems broken (ONLY WHILE CLICKING ON MEDIA ITEMS) now however is the "Clear time selection when edit cursor moves on click in arrange view" option, which makes the "SWS: Split items at time sel (if exists), else at edit cursor" action impossible to use (at the edit cursor) without first clicking in empty space to clear the selection.

I sure am enjoying it otherwise though! :-)

Hi Pitch. Just tested this and it works fine here, OSX. I just made a new folder called "new converts" in the project folder, selected it with the browser, converted, then opened and there it was, in the output folder I'd assigned.

No idea why it's not working for you.

That would be a great mouse modifier context to add if possible!

Nagative things in 4.alpha7a:

1. The CC Lane resize "handle" graphic should just be shown once (in the middle of the devider). Why? It's standard in the applications I know. Even more bad in 4.alpha is that we can't grab the devider at any position. Was possible in 3.x! SOLVED

3. The TCP/Arrance divider is missing such "handle" graphic. Currently we don't know where to grab. We can't grab the divider directly. Try it. Needs some pixels movement to the left. Doesn't feel good.

Agreed on both points made by Dstruct... my thoughts exactly on the recent alphas.

The docker divider should also get a 'drag me' graphic.

Yeah you're right. Always working unattached here. But I see, visual wise you're trying to grab at the horizontal scrollbar

Because it's so simple, yet affects me so often, is there any chance we could get the pre-roll fixed in this version? Currently, it plays back at different lengths depending on where you start from. If less than a measure than sometimes none at all.

All I really want is a consistent 1 second's worth throughout.

Please? (wimper)

The divider in the MIDI editor now serves multiple purposes: you can select time there, double click within the time selection to select all CC within the time selection, double click outside the time selection to clear the time selection. The time selection behavior is why there are now resizing areas on the divider bar.

And a right click on it in the inline editor should give us the MIDI CC pop up? not check if it do again yet

Default Another tweak to modifiers please

One small tuneup request for the time selection + marquee please Schwa:

If 'Marquee Select Items and Time' is enabled as the default for either Media items or Media items (bottom part),

then clicking on the item should place the cursor OBEYING SNAP.

Currently in alpha_7b, it always ignores snap when clicking with either version, whereas I think it should only do that when 'Marquee Select Items and Time Ignoring Snap' is enabled.

Sound logical to you?

Very weird stuff going on still here, the edit cursor breaks in half some times and the media item flickers any time you select it by clicking in the top half. Also doesn't obey the "clear time selection on click" preference.

Same here with the detaching of the cursor and snapping, in fact everything except the flickering, maybe that's osx only.

I should hope you can mount it. That would be perverse.
