paste is not highlighted in menu

Hi,

.. when I select an item, and copy it, or cut it (then I can see the action)
I can't paste with shortcut (on osx :cmd+V.
and the menu also doesn't highlight 'paste'

I read a lot of post about copy/paste behaviour or new setting in v4.x
but don't find answer.

Undoubtedly you haven't actually copied anything to paste. Reaper can be a bit more finicky about that than some other programs. I'd suggest reading the manual about the various copy/ paste options. Main thing is make sure you have whatever you want to cut/ copy Highlighted. Then rt. click & select the appropriate option. Something else I often screw up is getting things pasted in the right place particularly when simultaneously copying bits from several different tracks.
