Default [6.36] Reaper crashing on drag MIDI from EZDrummer 2

I got into a situation with one of my projects today in REAPER 6.36 (x64, Windows 10) where dragging MIDI into the timeline from EZDrummer 2 was crashing REAPER almost every time. It is something that I have seen from time to time in the past, but never this consistently. Eventually I was able to drag out all the MIDI I needed, but only after multiple attempts.

The project had a few other tracks in it, one with Pianoteq, and a few with Line 6 Helix Native on them.

I'll see if I can find the Windows Event log errors relating the the crash and will update with that info once I have it.

Following. Been putting off the update for a while (I'm on 6.02) but figured I'd check around the forum before taking the plunge.

The Log says the faulting module is ntdll.dll
Have you followed this advice?

Is it possible to post one of the problematic MIDI files, like by dragging out of the plugin to the desktop before dragging into reaper?

Not sure what the exact file was, but here's one that's crashing the same project fairly frequently (it's EZX Nashville / Push Feel 89 / Verse / Variation 01)

many thanks

Default Same happens to me, but only using Reaper-Reworked

I am also getting consistent crashes with drum midi files specifically.
However it only happens when I'm running Reaper-Reworked.
Breeder thought in that thread about reworked that it was a MIDI setting but I haven't been able to track it down.
Using my relatively stock Reaper 6.36 install, I don't get crashes at all.
