Waves 12.7 update Anyone tried it yet?
I got a message saying that v12 has been updated what seems to be radically , along with multiple warnings that I had to make sure my equipment, computer & software DAW could cope with version12.7.
I am wary of just going in all guns blazing because my computer IS very old now.

You can get help from their support team for the VST3 version and Reaper, but not for VST2. VST2 works for most people, but you won't get help for it.
Let that thing shake itself out for a few weeks. I'm not playing with my system when it comes to Waves.

Yeah - the resizing part was what had me getting nervous. My little old `610 fan free GUI card is working fine & I dont want to risk it getting clobbered by wave`s first go at properly offering variable resolution rather than bigger/smaller.

When v12 came out and had the resizable UIs, I set all of mine to display at "200%" which made them look normal instead of like a postage stamp. But for v12.7 Waves had a change of heart (or something), and now 200% means GIGANTIC. So I had to change my plugin scaling setting back to 100%, which is the new normal, I guess.
Other than that, no problem, and the new presets browsing/previewing feature has been improved.

Thanks, guys. I think I will wait on updating my studio machine, but the laptop is now on 12.7 & seems fine.

I've been having some issues at the moment. About 7 times out of 10, Waves crashes reaper when I load a plugin. To keep working, I have to load a Waves plugin in an empty project, and then it will work. Anybody else experiencing that?

Just tried v12...
Hahaha wow! Upside down plugin GUIs and seizure inducing flashing in them at the same time! Apparently they didn't test them with many graphics cards or something. Quite the crash and burn! Really visually impressive way to end your product!
The fix is rolling back to v11. Some people claim to get a secret update via their Command Central online installer business that might fix this for some graphics cards. No solid answers though. Yes my graphics card is "metal capable".
Well, that was fun! Waves died.

At some in the past weeks the Epic plugin shifted parameters numbering up by 1. Maybe right after release, but it sure meant I had to correct my CSI zones for one. Thank fuuuck I didn‘t use this in a mix yet.
