Default UltraBridge - A zero-configuration meter bridge for people wanting more meter bridge.

Hi folks,

Have you wanted more meter bridge for your control surface? Do you not wish to build your own? Do you have a drawer full of old smartphones?

Introducing UltraBridge! A zero-configuration companion app for Reaper which provides precisely that mentioned on the tin.

It's a work in progress, however, here are some early-alpha example videos:

Thoughts and feedback most welcome!

Best regards,

CJPN

This is amazing !

Will it work with iOS devices ?

And by the way, what kind of external monitor are you using on these video ? I've never seen this screen format...

Anyway, this is really promising, congrats !

Yes: Android, iOS, Windows, OSX and, hilariously, the possibility to run on Samsung TVs. And as many devices as you please, mix and match. Obviously if you're running more than once device, they can be de-slaved from the control surface, selecting the area on interest by swiping left/right or pinch-zooming to display more/fewer tracks.

While I have the requisite credentials for developing/deploying apps to the Apple App Store, it's always more of a palaver than developing and debugging on Android, so ironing out all the bugs and glitches on those devices first. And I have a lot more of them.

With the proliferation of minicomputers such has the Raspberry PI, a multitude of these "odd format" screens have appeared. Not only is that screen the correct size for the Mackie Control, but also a touchscreen (not demonstrated in the videos yet).

Can be acquired here, and used as a normal desktop extension: https://thepihut.com/products/7-9-ip...creen-400x1280

Interesting !
How does it communicate with REAPER ?
As an extention ?
Does it work, whatever CSurf extension is being used ?
Can it be used on the local screen ?

Thanks

It is a plugin.

It really doesn't care whether or not you have a CSurf. I have modified Klinke's plugin to enable slaving to visibility, and indeed that could easily be achieved via the base CSurf plugin, however that is not required. It works even if there is no control surface connected.

It can be used on local screen and any combination of remote screens, all at the same time without limitation.
