In fact..
Spk77s 95th post after looking again is pretty much perfect for it so maybe ignore all my requests anyway and make a true track inspector
I just wish that one also had sliders and maybe mute controls for each receive too.

I can make a mod for the Track IO mixer...
Horizontal sliders might be better for this: it would be easier to position the labels etc.
(It might look like this ):
In the post#110, I was trying to replicate the Pro tools style "floating mixer panel":
http://medias.audiofanzine.com/image...s-9-161994.jpg
There might be something wrong with gfx.blit:
http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.p...05#post1579405
(we have to wait that it gets fixed...if it's broken. I'm not sure if I'm using that function correctly.)

Are you using images from theme file or you extract them and modify (remove pink/yellow lines) ? Did you cracked the code with that one ?
Regarding Track Inspector I think majority of user would want 1 global inspector (cubendo/logic),but option like send mixer to lock to track would be good for specific users.
Anyway looking forward to that script!!!!!
Btw I know its very early for FR but, when clicking on future "send/s" it would be cool to have parameters of that track (FX list, volume etc) next to future inspector ,like logic (for faster and easier managing of reverbs/delays etc)

Yes, I edited the v5.0 default theme elements (mcp_volthumb, mcp_volbg.png). I'm also using gfx.xxxx functions for lines/rectangles etc.

Ok, let's see how this thing will evolve. First I'm trying to make the sliders to actually do something...

Hmmm...it's of course possible to show the FX parameters, but almost impossible to know what kind of curve we would need to use for the knobs/sliders.
For example, vol/frequency parameters in some FX would need different curves (log/exp conversions) than pan/width...
(Hard to explain )

AWESOME! That capture already shows the near perfect version for heaphone mixes!
The only things that would be nice additions would be.
-lock button to keep it on selected track
-mute buttons per send (if possible and maybe solos?)
-volume meters? (don't think that is possible though right?)

Lock, mute and solo buttons are possible, but "volume meter" isn't that easy (see heda's post: http://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php...&postcount=114)
...and gfx.blit needs to be fixed first:

HELL YEAH!!!
I suppose it will update on track selection?Or you have something else in mind(I see you open 1 per track,or is that for testing purposes?)
omg no more docking mixer and resizing it to 1 track , happy days

If so, to be honest, for me one window that gets updated with the currently selected track (as your previous track inspector was) would have more use.
edit:
Basically what Sexan said.
|
I was using "last touched track" for the gif.
I will add a lock button: user can select if it's "dynamic" or locked to a track.

When you mean mute and solo buttons. I'm hoping you mean the mute that's on the receives rather than the track mute?
Also, solo could be derived from that by muting all receives etc the one you solo on.
I think jeffos did this in his controller js plugin. Just forgot the name of it and will have to check.

Yes, I meant the send/receive mute
Fortunately there's a function for it:
Code:
boolean reaper.ToggleTrackSendUIMute(MediaTrack track, integer send_idx)
send_idx<0 for receives

I...don't know
...but here's a raw test version :
Track IO mixer v091015
https://stash.reaper.fm/25404/Track%2...%20v091015.zip- add "Track IO Mixer v041015.lua" (from the zip file) to the action list

Well done!
- Vertical option
- Select destination /go to destination track
- Main fader in the middle (receives to left, sends to right)
- Double-click, type in value
?

Is it impudent to ask if the order of the faders is determined by the order in the channel itself (alphabetically I think) OR if it might be possible to re-order them freely in the IO mixer?

Virtual summing mixer...idea
So I use a summing mixer in my worklflow often these days. And wouldn't u know it I found the one thing reaper just don't do. I came here and it got me thinking... and maybe this is a bit over kill.
1. I don't wanna pay for a separate mixer just to show me a very simple parameter.
2. Track inspector is a bit...messy.
So I came to this point.
Each instance of the track i/o script is spread cross...locked to its corresponding "summing " channel.
Displaying the receives.
How do I put these all on one dockable tab ...if that's possible.
