Default Arturia V Collection 5 on Reaper Linux?

Hello there,

I'm debating getting an Arturia midi controller from Sweetwater and I'm wondering if anyone has been successful in getting the Arturia V Collection 5 synth working in Reaper Linux?

I ask because I loved their Roland Jupiter VST and apparently the midi keyboard might come with instruments from that collection.

Thanks,

Sam

I have a MicroBrute hardware synth from Arturia, which comes with software for tweeking the internal patches. No Linux version, so I tied running it under WINE, but it didn't work. That doesn't mean that a soft synth won't work, but I haven't tried that.

Anyway, I wrote to Arturia to ask for a Linux version. They didn't make one, but I would encourage anyone who needs Linux versions of VST's etc to write to the authors and let them know that Linux is being used for music production and could they please support it.

I have the 32 bit version of Arturia's Minimoog V Original running fine as a bridged Windows VSTi. I got in on the giveaway they did for the last "Moog" branding before they changed it's name to "Mini V". This is what I have, except mine says Minimoog V Original.

Hello,

For anyone that is looking for this, I found really good links to prove that Arturia V Collection works for Linux as well:

https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxaudio/...ork_for_linux/

https://github.com/Sangeppato/wine-vst

https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxaudio/..._through_wine/

Though, can I ask anyone here, what's the process of going about using "Carla" or any of the "wrapper" programs?

I do dev stuff on the side with Python and JS to learn Front End Web Development, so I'm not too scared of using a terminal, but would love to be pointed to an idiot's guide on how to load up a Windows based plugin.

I use LinVST and once I had Arturia Minimoog V installed in WINE, I just ran the convert utility from LinVST and it created the .so that REAPER picks up on a plugins scan.
