Default XLN Addictive drums 2: Sorry a serius error Occurred with ....cCotton instance doBoo

XLN Addictive drums 2 error:
"Sorry a serius error Occurred with ....cCotton instance doBoot () FAILED! exception: Error creating critical region [-108]

When I duplicate an addictive track with "XLN AD Drums 2" or drag the VST from one track to another .... the system crashes.
I bought the plug on https://saleonplugins.com/Online and I hope it is all legal.
attached:
- the error message
-Crash Reaper v6.08_64 rev 125b74(apr3 2020) XLN addictive drums 2

I tried to uninstall the old 32-bit version that I thought would conflict ... but it didn't help ...

Help me. I worked hours and hours on some tracks (with the 32-bit) now I can no longer continue .....: - (((

Default Same problem in 2021

I've got exactly the same error after I stupidly downloaded and installed the 32 bit version of the latest Reaper (6.42). I now have the same problem With AD2 and A Keys. My own fault, I know as I'm all 64bit, but despite uninstalling the 32bit and returning to Reaper 64bit the error continues. Anyone know a way out?

UPDATE - I deleted the folder where the problem pointed to, reinstalled AD2 via the XLN installer, but sadly no change. The strange thing is, Cubase opens both XLN instruments with no problems.

Anyway, it's my stupid fault, clearly accidentally installing Reaper 32 bit has thrown something out with XLN.

The site you downloaded Addictive Drums from sells cracked software. AD for £50 should have been a big red flag to you as should the prices of the other software they sell. £90 for Omnisphere Really???

I bought AD2 legitimately full price 5 years ago from XLN. it's worked with very few issues during all that time until this sudden issue with Reaper today.
Read the OP`s post. HE bought a cracked version - presumably unknowingly.
That is what bodfum was replying to.

Default Solution

Found out my problem. I'd deleted the XLN dll's to prompt the installer to replace them. This didn't work first time.
Then discovered that I had managed to accidentally copy my entire VST2 folder into my VST3 folder (ie 2 copies of the dll's existed). This was the problem. I deleted the extra folder, repaired the dll's again and did a complete rescan in Reaper. All good. I post this in case anyone else is as clumsy as me!
