From all the themes available this one works the best for me! Default GUI with beautiful colors. Love the silver and the black. That's my default theme now!

Thank you!

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I've found two issues in the layouts (both Reaper and Default Analog latest version).

1. In the TCP (Default vertical) the input selector seems to move over the stereo width knob in stereo pan/dual pan mode:

2. In the Master MCP the pan knob is misaligned.

Thanks a lot (again) for this great theme.

The vertical meters code is copied from another user who made this adaptation.. i'm aware of this problem but walter gave me headaches... If there is someone skilled in walter that want to help, i will appreciate it.

On the master, as you see in the theme's screenshot, the pan is big and aligned. Do you have any other plugins installed that might interfere with the theme?

I've added my own vertical layout (probably based on some stuff found here on the forums, I can't remember) and it seems to work fairly well (works for classic, silver and black):

Code:
Layout "1. Classic Default TCP (vertical meters 2)" "analog-classic-v"
	set tcp_yanchor w<360 w<211 h<117 h<95 h<73 h<51 [0 41] [0 30] [0 19] [0 8] trackpanmode>=4 [0 -3] [0 8] h<73 h<51 [0 41] [0 30] [0 19] h<73 h<51 [0 41] [0 30] trackpanmode>=4 [0 19] [0 30]

It looks like this:

It has some little flaws, but I can live with it. I wanted to see the envelope and FX buttons all the time and I wanted it to be compatible with dual/stereo pan, so I had to make some trade-offs. Feel free to add it to your theme.

EDIT: I just saw that there's an issue with the meter when folders are used, I'll look into that.
Edit2: fixed the issue with the meter, although it's now REALLY small. I also have a modified version that uses meters with smaller margins, let me know if you're interested.

This issue occurs if I switch to stereo/dual pan. But it also occurs with the default Reaper theme, so you're not the one to blame.

This seems to have been fixed in 4.23pre15. Will you update your theme accordingly?

Does anyone know which line of code to delete to be able to set the colour of the track panel selected text?
In other words when I select a track I want the text to turn yellow. Thanks

Very nice!
I'll promote this on the blog next week.

Requests:
Layout - Track: Top aligned + Vertical meter
Layout - Track: Top Aligned + Horizontal meter
High contrast text. Track numbers and labels don't stand out enough.

Beautiful theme!
Thanks for saving me from searching through the entire stash again!
It didn't take me any time at all to accept this as the way Reaper should look.

This is still my favorite theme by far. I tried so many other themes (including Imperial) and I just keep coming back to this one. The color scheme is so much cooler and professional looking than the default. Thanks so much, lerian!

Only thing I would suggest would be to make an alternate startup screen that mimics the original but has Default Analog colors.

Thanks a lot for this great theme. I've been using it pretty much exclusively since I got it.

I have a request however. Would it be possible for you to make a version of this with the fx/monitoring buttons and the plugin name font a different color than the yellowish color now used, I just think it might look better. Somehow the yellow color is too dark for it to signify that the button/text is "On", as opposed to bypassed. Perhaps White (On)/Gray (Bypassed) or Bright red/Dark red.

I don't know anything about theme making, so I have no idea how difficult this is.

still my fav.

one request: could we have meters in the "shy meters" layout? I know it doesnt sound like it makes sense, but there seems to be no other layout with a mute/solo and volume control on it that is that small. Could you put the meter over the track name? Or a vert meter in there somewhere?

heres what I mean:

Thank you for your work on this. Like some others I find that this helps relieve eye strain. Only thing I noticed so far was the feature "compact docker when small and single tab" (I might have the wording wrong on that) wasn't working after installing the theme but that could be some other problem on my side. Looks very nice.

Thank you guys for the kind words. For the moment i won't make any changes but feel free to alter it in your own way and post a link in the comments, or upload it as new. I will make another revision sometimes soon i hope, when i will have enough time to focus on it to address all the issues you mentioned in this thread.

Thanks again, I wish you all a happy, inspired and productive 2013!

Thank you again, lerian. Your theme is the best and it's the first thing I change whenever I re-install Reaper!

Default working link

Like the colors of this theme a lot! Discovered it by chance. It has been used in a video tutorial.
@lerian: the links you've provided in your posts don't work.
filster has posted a working link in post #142 which is: https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/963/Def...0Analog%20v1.8
Could you possibly correct the links in your posts?

The thing is, my walker skills were kinda limited to copy/paste + trial/error. And, as i realized there are many elements which depend on each other's size and position. What i mean is i don't know how to make it to appear only when the track is in the small mode.

I would gladly do it if someone could help me waltering without having to get frustrated with re-learning what i didn't actually learned in the making of it. It's not that i don't want to make it better, but i'm not sure i have the patience anymore to get into the cryptics walter. I might be wrong, maybe walter is really easy, but the lack of a visual (human) language imply that i should remember all those parameters, what they stand for, what happens when the order is changed.. it's a real turn-off (for me, at least).

Great theme! However I have a question and a request. First how can I make the master track to be black like the rest of mixer tracks? And second could I request a track layout which doesn't display volume slider ( for my midi tracks )?

1. Go to options > layouts > master track panel

2. I will rework some aspects of the theme soon, but i can't promise i'll do any more walter tuning.

But, you can rename the theme to .zip, unzip it, go to the folder "Default_Analog_v1.8_unpacked" and look for rtconfig.txt. Open it and search for a layout that's close to your layout. It looks like this:

Code:
		Layout "3. Black Minimal" "analog-black"
		set tcp_yanchor ?recarm w<211 h<73 h<51 [0 41] [0 30] [0 19] h<51 [0 41] [0 30] w<360 h<51 [0 41] [0 30] [0 41]
		set tcp.recarm.fullmargin + tcp_yanchor [7 0 18 18 0 y_align 0 y_align]
		set tcp.recarm + reverse_margin tcp.recarm.fullmargin
		set tcp_label_fullmargin + tcp_yanchor w<211 [25 0 307 17 0 y_align 1 y_align] w<360 [25 0 251 17 0 y_align 1 y_align] [25 0 78 17 0 y_align 0.5 y_align]
		set tcp.label + + reverse_margin tcp_label_fullmargin margin_to_width
		set tcp.meter + tcp_yanchor w<211 h<51 [0] [342 26 29 9 1 y_align 1 y_align] [286 4 42 9 1 y_align 1 y_align]
		set tcp.mute + tcp_yanchor [338 0 17 18 1 y_align 1 y_align]
		set tcp.solo + tcp_yanchor [358 0 17 18 1 y_align 1 y_align]
		set tcp.volume + tcp_yanchor w<211 h<51 [0] [7 23 322 16 0 y_align 1 y_align] w<270 h<51 [0] [7 23 266 16 0 y_align 1 y_align] w<360 h<51 [0] [7 23 241 16 0 y_align 1 y_align] [109 0 139 18 0.5 y_align 1 y_align]
		set tcp.volume.label tcp.volume{x}>0 + [tcp.volume{w}] w<211 [tcp.volume tcp.volume 3 tcp.volume tcp.volume{rs} y_align tcp.volume{rs} y_align] w<270 [tcp.volume tcp.volume 3 tcp.volume tcp.volume{rs} y_align tcp.volume{rs} y_align] [tcp.volume tcp.volume 28 tcp.volume tcp.volume{rs} y_align tcp.volume{rs} y_align]
		set tcp.pan [0]
		set tcp.pan.label [0]
		set tcp.width [0]
		set tcp.width.label [0]
		set tcp.env [0]
		set tcp.recmon [0]
		set tcp.fx [0]
		set tcp.fxbyp [0]
		set tcp.recinput ?recarm + tcp_yanchor w<211 h<73 [0] [7 45 325 16 0 y_align 1 y_align] w<360 h<51 [0] [282 22 93 16 1 y_align 1 y_align] h<51 [0] [109 23 167 16 0.5 y_align 1 y_align] [0]
EndLayout ; end of "Minimal (black)"
Copy the code and paste it a few spaces below, rename it (the name is "3. Black Minimal" in this case) and start deleting, adding, or modifying anything you like. To test it you have to reload the theme named "Default_Analog_v1.8_unpacked" (ctrl-alt-pagedown and then ctrl-alt-pageup on windows loads previous and then next theme).

If you make it, please post the code in this thread, for other users that might need it. Thank you, and good luck!

Can some kind of copy/paste deal be used to get a black big meter TCP track? What kind of updates are you planning?

Also, if anyone didn't know- the SWS custom color actions work on the master track.

Yeah, i guess more delete/edit than copy/paste.

I will mainly fix bugs, but also try a dark background for the tracks. I'm thinking about modifying meters too, to make them green/yellow/red but this i have learn how to do it first (how to start yellow at -6db i guess?) because it wasn't really possible a while ago, the colors were only embedded in a png file.
