VST problem in 6.0.3

I installed 6.03 today. When I restarted Reaper it did not find a large number of VST plugins including BFD3.- It also crashed when reading several VSTs. I cleared cache and re-scanned multiple times (after checking the vst folders) but it had problems and errors every time. I downloaded and installed 6.02 and re-scanned and everything is fine again!
Windows 10 64 bit, Intel Core i7 4770, AsusTek z87-A Mobo, NVidia GTX 1660 Super card, 32GB memory, 11TB disk

A bunch of my VSTs also stopped working with version 6.03.
