Default Reaper Crashing on Startup

Have been using Reaper with no issues over the last month. Since late yesterday, windows crashes on me as soon as I load up the application.

Thought this might have been due to a windows update that came in yesterday, so I rolled that back and tried again - still crashing.

Tried re-installing reaper, still crashing.

This is Reaper 64 on Windows 10.

Have you already rebooted your computer?

Otherwise try if making a portable Reaper install to a different folder is working (to rule out that it's only happening with your current Reaper install config): http://reaperblog.net/2015/07/reaper...nstall-option/

Or check the Windows Event Viewer for more details about what caused the crash: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=36653

I haven't solved this issue yet, but have found a work-around.

After doing a portable-install elsewhere on my computer, if I start up and then try opening reaper via-the portable installed exe, reaper works. Then if I go and open it on the main install, it also works. But, if I come back later on after shutting down the computer, I sometimes still go back to the blue screen of death if I go straight for the normal exe without running the portable exe first.

Weird.

OK, so you actually get a BSOD (and not just the application crashing itself)? In this case check and investigate the BSOD error code further:

- http://www.thewindowsclub.com/window...-screens-guide

And have you already tried to export your config from the main install and import it into a portable install (to check if the problem also happens with the portable version when using the same config)?
Because if Windows doesn't crash with other applications, it seems like more of an issue related to something in your main Reaper config ...
