DrivenByMoss or Klinke?

I am very new to this topic. I have an X-Touch Universal control surface on order, and I have been researching setup and configuration methods to get it to be more functional with Reaper.

Can anyone explain to me how Klinke and DrivenByMoss are different (and maybe what they have in common)? I'm running Reaper on a pc.

Has anyone actually tried both? I'd love to hear what your preferences are for one over the other. Do they add different functions to the X-Touch?

Would I be asking for trouble if I downloaded both, and tried each? I mean, can both be installed at the same time? Could that mess up Reaper and/or the X-Touch?

Sorry for the "noob" questions. I've been trying to figure this out, and I think I may be more confused now than when I started researching.
