I tried with the version 6.60 and i have the same problem, and because recently the reaper package changed of name (from reaper-bin to reaper)I can't downgrade more tha 6.60 to test if is a reaper or system problem...

No problems here
I just tried to resize the main window (I think that's what you mean by "parent window") on Reaper version 6.60, and it worked fine.

No problems here using DWM. Maybe a Gnome related problem?

By the way, you can downgrade by running the installer script from an earlier version. I don't remember the Reaper binary ever being anything other than "reaper".
Good luck! |

I'm on a Debian testing system running Gnome 42/X11. Just updated to 6.61 and I'm not seeing an issue with window sizing on my end.

https://www.reaper.fm/download.php At the bottom of that page is a link named "Old Versions" where you can download an older version if you really need one. Like others here though, I'm not seeing the problem you describe in REAPER 6.61 (In Manjaro KDE). Perhaps it's an issue with your Window Manager/DE? BTW. AFAIR, Cockos have never changed the name of the installer (I can only assume that must have been done by whoever builds the package for the AUR). |

I'm on Fedora 38, Plasma 5.27.6 Wayland and having this issue as well. Sometimes I watch the window resize itself into the unusable state. For the time being, running the application in fullscreen in a workaround but obviously it's not ideal :P
