Default Midi Sync Problem Outboard Synths

Hello Reapermaniacs,

I'm sending MIDI out from my audio interface to a TR-8 drum machine which sends also sends clock to a TB-03 bassline synth. (Audio Interface receives CLOCK SPP from Reaper)

The problem I'm having is if I start the loop from 0 the TR-8 and TB-03 start out of sync until the next bar. I gotta note that starting from the next bar or leaving a silence before the loop removes that issue, there is no delay at all.

I'm not that informed on MIDI sync so I wonder what I'm omitting here... Is there anything I can do to make everything run smoothly from the zero point?
Just out of convenience, it's alot faster to start playback from 0 each time I wanna test an arrangement.

Thanks alot guys!!!

Not sure what you mean when you say "start the loop from 0".

MIDI Song Position starts from Bar 1.

Bar 0 would be a negative value - before 1 - so although it will send a "start clock" message, it won't send song position until it gets to bar 1.

Try moving your loop to bar 1.
