Default send volume, pan and mute wrong behaviour [done]

when moving the the knobs on the track, position always return to center.
And it does not get updated when moving in the routing panel.

Is this only me?

This behavior is by design for all envelope control panels, and it has always been the case. Otherwise, this behavior would not be possible:

ok! thank you for the clarification! but so it means there are 2 different designs. One for FX envelopes and other for Internal envelopes like this ones. It's a bit confusing to me. I wonder then why the design for internal envelopes different from Fx Envelopes.

In your example, it's very good for pan but for others it's a bit like selecting and dragging up the envelopes, with some kind of smoothness being applied .. but then i loose the reference of the volume .. I don't know .. probably i'll have to look at it with different eyes. (but i am curious to know how controllers with feedback leds or motorised faders work with this design, since the TCP knob is always forced to center)

but still , In a probably very ignorant point of view, seems this should be equal for both types of envelopes and if advantages on each design, it could be optional (for both). For me as a very normal user i don't care if it's internal or external, at the end it's just an envelope. :/

Anyway now i know it's not a bug and the purpose so thank you for that!

i have thought a little more, and even if the functionality of this design might useful, it should be in a different knob or better IMO using a modifier in the knob or in the envelopes context in project. And also equal for both: envelope control panels and fx envelopes.
Anyway, in the context of the original post I kind of feel: please reaper don't mess with my volume : )

ahhh ops! my bad my bad my bad! same same LOL! the thing is that i never use that knob on FX envelopes as my reference (it's on the plugin, while my instinct to reference visually the send volume is on the envelope (1280 x 800 here) . OK! My bad my bad my bad! OK OK

Still i don't know how i will reference the send level in a easy easy way .. i was expecting to be here. I'll have to request something then.

Thank you so much Schwa! sorry and thanks for the heads up. And all good!
