OSC discovery from Reaper to device

Hi,

I was working on some remote control in Reaper using OSC and my device is a NodeJS application.

I am able to do simple commands from device to Reaper like /play and /track/1/name "foo" but I am not able to get much further.

Specifically I was wanting to, on connect, send a command to Reaper that would return the track name for a specific track #. Basically a discovery command to set up my device. So if my device is working with tracks 1,2,3,4 then I might send a command to each track and have Reaper return the name.

I tried sending to s/track/1/name and leaving out the string parameter in hopes Reaper would return track info but it didn't seem to work.

I am using default.reaperosc btw

Am I on the wrong path? I figure these must exist or else TouchOSC, etc. wouldn't be able to do their thing. I wish TouchOSC was open source lol

Any help would be appreciated.
