Please add something to help us to see what is focused right now.
Now it's impossible to say what focused (TCP, arrange or one of docked windows) just by looking at the picture:
It would be great to have some clues about what section is focused right now. This can help prevent users from triggering actions from "wrong" section (using keyboard shortcuts)
Some examples:
- Press fx shortcut -> Insert FX on Item instead of Track
- Press Delete -> Remove Track instead of Item
- Press Spacebar -> Play/stop sample from (docked!) Media Explorer instead of project
- Press "W" -> "Go to start of project" instead of "Go to start of file" in (docked!) Midi Editor.
That's what happens to me. Maybe I'm not the only one.
I think it's good to see what focused and be 100% sure of what will happen when you press the button.
You can easily see if window focused just looking at the title bar but if it's docked - no way.
Implementation Suggestions
If a docker focused then change tab control background color and/or change "!" sign color/background.
Example with media explorer focused:
Another solution is to add new icon to focused docker like this:
It also can be used when TCP or arrange focused:
But maybe it's overkill for TCP/Arrange and text in "info display" just enough:
