When MCP is narrowed, the volume remains, as it should, but the pan vanishes even though there's quite enough space for another knob or two. Could it be integrated?

I tried to explain to the devs right at the start of V4 that folders needed the ability to use layouts automatically to no avail unfortunately
As this theme shows, it is a very powerful thing

Yeah, it would be cool to have them update automatically rather than all the menu-hunting to change the layouts.

At first I thought an exciting new feature got released. That would be pretty cool to stretch a mixer panel sideways. But then I figured you must mean the TCP.
I see your point about showing the pan/width on a minimum TCP. It was not high on the priority list because I never squeeze mine down beyond the with of the default toolbar area (7 buttons wide). So I just put some basic Waltering to make the TCP not look broken if someone squeezed it. So, you have a good point for folks who like to mash it all to the side, but unfortunately it's toward the bottom of the to-do list for this theme.

WHOA!!!
I just HAD to stop from my production I'm working on in my studio with Reaper (using this awesome theme) and say "WOW! I just LOVE this theme!
And not because it looks cool, but because of it's functionality like... bypassing the VST's on the track, etc. Everything is VERY easy to get around and very well thought out (IMHO)
Way to go MARK!

Thanks! And thanks also to the other commenters. There are still a lot of tweaks, and I may have released it too quickly. There are a lot of little pieces to a theme. At first I thought it would be an easy mod of my Iron Giant, but there was more to it than I thought.

It sure does.
I simply brought together instrument groups for an easier overview(no actual folder action going on), and the improvement in clarity of the overview was astounding.

Updated 2012-01-05
New Kontakt Layouts for TCP, for those who are using a similar track template to mine.
1) Kontakt Begin
The Kontakt button is the FX Bypass.
The jack button opens send/receives dialog.
The folder symbol opens the FX chain dialog.
2) Kontakt Instrument, basically like a Folder Begin layout
3) Kontakt MIDI
Keyboard icon is Recarm, allowing MIDI from controller.
Media item icon is mute (bold for mute off) allowing MIDI from the track.

Here's a mockup of an update to the Kontakt Layout for MCP which I'm working on.
These are two tracks, actually. A "Folder Begin" on the left side, and what will be a "Kontakt MIDI" on the right, which is just the solid strip that closes the shape, and only has two buttons. The piano keyboard is the Recarm (lit here, for active), and the MIDI button is the mute (lit here for unmuted). Since these two tracks are foldered together (in my template), you'll see the MIDI velocity of the Kontakt MIDI layout track show up in the Folder Begin's VU meter.

Updated 2012-01-09: Simplified Kontakt Layouts (Kontakt Plugin/Folder Begin/Kontakt MIDI) featuring new graphics.
This is not a mockup, it's the real thing.
The Kontakt layout system for both TCP and MCP is now:
1) Kontakt Plugin
2) Folder Begin
3) Kontakt MIDI
Folder Begin Layout and Kontakt MIDI Layout are drawn to look like a single track. In the MCP, the Keyboard graphic is the recarm and the "MIDI" button is the mute. In the TCP, the LCD keyboard icon is the recarm, and the graphic keyboard is the FX-Open which appears when the panel has grown to recarm-size.

I'm wondering if I should get rid of the chamfered corners and go with a more conventional look like this.

In 4.15rc1: + Mixer: action to show/hide children of selected folder tracks
This should be very helpful in the Mixer for this theme!
Can/will you implement this directly in this theme or will we have to implement it using an action?

The little branching symbol to the left of the VU meter does that, unless it's some other kind of thing you're talking about.

In the TCP, the trim button slides out when you widen the panels. Now that I think about it, I may not have gotten around to putting one on the MCP. Maybe I'll do that for the next update.
