Need to select input on interface every time I restart PC?

Whenever I re-start my computer and load Reaper I don't get the input signal straight away, even though the correct input (Mic 1) is selected in my ASIO configuration. If I re-select Mic 1 and apply, the input signal appears.

If I close Reaper and open again without shutting down my PC, the input signal is found again straight away.

I realise this may be more to do with my PC or Line 6 UX2, but maybe someone can help me avoid having to go into setting every time I restart my computer? Thanks

Are you talking about loading an existing project which you have already saved or a new empty project?
Assuming it is a saved existing project, are you talking about setting the mic channel to record-ready?

I just opened an existing project in my copy of reaper & set the record-armed button to "on" & then re-saved it. When I re-opened the modified track, it was in the same state as whhen I saved it, including the track being record-armed.
Is this what is not working for you at present?
