Auto-return to Trim/Read while in Latch Mode, after 2 seconds, then back to Latch M.?

Is this possible? If yes, how? Thanks.
Latch > 2 s > Trim/Read > Latch
or better this:
Latch > 2 s > Pause, then Play > Latch
(auto-resetting Latch mode, after a given time, here: 2s)

The idea is, staying always in Latch mode, but not overwriting previous Latch mode automation recordings, thus inbetween there needs to be this "switching over" to Trim/Read and back again to Latch, so automation recording can continue, but this time, waiting for us until next control movement.

Using this strategy, if previous automation will be destroyed, then only for 2 seconds.

UPDATE: This feature should behave as if you hit pause, then play, after first latch mode action. So in a looping scenario previous latch recorded automation is not overwritten. Latch modes default behaviour should be like this, much more practical imo. Entering latch mode, after a given time, 2 s maybe, leaving again or resetting latch mode, if I move the control/knob it will enter latch mode anyway, so nothing is lost. But the gain is the previous latch recorded automation will not be overwritten. Now I can achieve this behaviour only via triggering pause, then play.
