RITMIX VSTi drum machine issue

Running the newest version of REAPER. Ritmix works fine, but there's an issue I've run into where the audio loop plays continuously throughout the song, rather than just where I've placed the midi information on the timeline. Anybody know why this is happening, or how to stop it from happening? It's a cool little plug-in, but without being able to effectively turn on and off the drums of the track it's pretty infuriating. I'm probably just going to solo the drum and then export it, then use the sound file instead of the midi, but I'd still like to solve this if possible. I can get over having to log-in every time I use the plug-in, but the drums not stopping when the midi does is a bogus actuality.

I just looked up RITMIX on YouTube. Without ever having downloaded the thing, I'm going with:

# Press "Sync Host" in Ritmix
# Start playback by pressing play in the host (ie, in this case, Reaper's transport bar) and not by pressing play in RITMIX.

Does that work?
