Default combine themes

hello there

is there a way to combine 2 themes
let's say i like the [track-view] from one theme,and the [mixer-view]
from another theme..
can i combine this 2 themes?

is it possible?

Yes, but be careful, it could look like a hot mess as some theme elements don't work well with other themes.

Unzip the themes you like

Locate the rtconfig files from both

Find the layout you want in the text of the rtconfig file

Copy and paste it over to the the rtconfig file of the other theme

Make sure you also copy over the image folder for that layout as well or the layout will not display properly

Rezip the theme

WORDS OF CAUTION: I'm not a themer just a bit of a hacker. There may well very be an easier way to do this or I possibly missed a step or two, but I have done this with various themes.

Apologies for the lousy picture quality, but here's an example of mixing two different theme elements. This is the transport layout from Blankfiles' Hydra theme being used in Albert's Pro X Tools theme. Nothing against Albert, but his theme had only one transport option and it wouldn't scale properly on my laptop. I did have to change a lot of the png files to make this "fit" style-wise with the theme as Hydra and Pro X Tools look very different.

via layouts you can create one new layout folder with all needed elements for other theme and in rtconfig create one new layout to use with... ?
