Default Organize Envelope Lanes

I am working with -many- envelope lanes on one specific track tonight, and I realized I'd love to have a way to basically:

1: Be able to move the lanes around.
(self explanatory)

2: Create collapsible folders to contain specific parameter data.

[Folder 1] EQ Band 1
-- Frequency
-- Gain
-- Q
[Folder 2] EQ Band 2
-- Frequency
-- Gain
-- Q
-- Shape
[Folder 3] EQ Band 3
-- Frequency
-- Gain
-- Q
-- HP/LP Slope

3. Color code envelope lanes

It would be nice to be able to collapse the folders and maybe just see all of the automation data collected on the folder lane.

well I was thinking maybe color by plugin, or by folders if envelope folders happen for example. Or by parameter colors like this request: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=159651

I haven't been following any discussions anywhere, but has there been any talks of possible implementation of this idea? I have been running into this issue more and more frequently.

Does anyone know which DAWs do support this? I think I'm going to have to temporarily move a few heavily automated projects to something new because this is just turning into a chaotic mess in Reaper. I don't usually go this heavy on automation, but I'm doing a very intensive sound design project that requires a lot, and Reaper just isn't cutting it for me with such a lack of organization for envelope lanes.

Anything that allows simply organizing them up/down and color coding them would be enough, but allowing envelope folders would be even better.

I hope to one day see this implemented, but until then, I don't mind doing a few projects in another DAW. I just need to know which one(s) might support it.

A bump to see if anyone knows if there are any DAWs out there which support this

+1 to (at least) ability to reorder envelope lanes, by dragging and hopefully also via actions assignable to keys

Yes, please : ) +1

Also, how about the ability to merge envelope lanes according to usage. So if you have five fx, each with four parameters automated, you could have five lanes with a single FX's four parameters, or if three FX are on a guitar bus have a single lane for guitar FX automation and another lane for drum bus FX automation and another lane for master bus FX automation.

Unless I'm missing something, FX automation envelopes can currently be in the media track or else each one not there is on it's own lane. No way to have five FX with a total of, say, 20 automation envelopes, spread over the media track and just two lanes according to some strategy (?)

+1, yes pleaseee! Especially when mixing more than one song in a single session (live shows for example) those envelopes really add up and navigating them becomes a pain.

+10000000 YES PLEASE!
when we automate a lot of plugins parameters is such a drag to have all envelopes.
I´ve set the "a" keys to toggle show / hide all session automation. My workaround for now

For me the hard part is that you dont have a link enable button for the same automation parameter on multiple tracks . The only way to do it for now is having a bus and automate (volume for example) on every drum tracks. Would be nice to have a link for certain parameters. The actual "group" feature in reaper is good for track basic controls not automation lanes. That would be a nice add from cockos.~
Despite those minor things, reaper is GREAT! and the devs are GREAT!

That would be nice indeed. I rarely get to the point of having that many envelopes on a single track, but when I do it gets real messy real fast.

Or, come to think of it, the inflexibility of envelope placement/color is the very reason why I instinctively refrain from adding too many?
