Default What Theme Do You Use The Most?

I've been using RADO V4 as my go to theme cause it so easy to see everything and easy on the eyes.

However, I'm now loving Imperial as well! The more I use Imperial the more I like the way WT laid it out and his graphics ROCK!!!!

I use a modified Default Version 3:

I just think that it is the most user friendly layout that I've seen so far. Many of the other nicer themes have buttons that I don't need in prominent locations (like V4) and this theme resizes nicely.

Although I make themes I personally mostly use a mod of the v4 default. Its the most versatile, specially on smaller screens.

Rado 4.

Imperial looks neat, but I prefer the usability of the button spacing:size in Rado, and the "old way" of using folders.

Here's the original version: https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/299/Unempty%20Minima%2073

I made a mod of Unempty Minima 73. I'll upload it at some point.
I think some people would like it.
I've used it regularly since it was released.

I go back and forth alot because I can never really seem to find one that's good on all counts. Simple and uncluttered, easy on the eyes color scheme, small elements. Right now I am on the default, but my biggest problem with that is that you have to have the tcp size on the large side to see all of the elements, causing me to lose about 3 tracks on my laptop, and making items and waveforms larger than I would prefer.

Default Analog (http://goo.gl/h2lHR)

All the virtues from the default theme (which are many) with a darker look (great for me since I don't like working with a lot of light) and a more pleasant colour combination (IMO, of course).

Used to work with Reaborn, but I don't find the metering from that theme very useful.

I just realized that Engaged is not updated to the latest build. I can't find the scrolling curser. Looks missing.

vStyler Rado VOX with some tweaks is still my favorite. For 1680x1050 res is still unbeatable. Good layouts that can be stretched for your needs, big meters if you want (many themes lacks here!), great design (I like more than original Rado 4 version). For me, this is the most complete and reliable theme that you could find here on Reaper community. In a theme like this, nothing is lost.

So I praise vStyler for his generosity to give us Rado VOX for free and Nick Moritz for making the original concept and layout.

I concur. It's not as flashy as Imperial, but more utilitarian and functional for me. Kudos.

How difficult would it be to talk you into doing a version where only interactive surfaces have 3D portraiture, and are more saturated than the background?

In other words, visually what I like is for the things *I can control* - buttons, faders - to pop. The "recessed" portraiture of the meters, track label, etc. are visually arresting and interfere (IMO) with the actual controls. In other words, I think White Tie has done a great job with the 3D portraiture, but the busy-ness of "3D" in an interface runs counter to the utility IMO. For instance, the "trough/channel" for the fader is what we're accustomed to in an analog console, but when my eyes scan across the screen to grab the fader knob it detracts from how much the knob itself pops. If "saturated" is reserved exclusively for "things I can manipulate with the mouse" it's my belief the UI will be more usable/easier, and if I don't have to pick out a "3D" object from a "3D" background, it will also in turn be visually easier.

$.10.
