For anyone browsing this thread who's unfamiliar with how reaper works in future, you can use any skin you subjectively want with this reaperset. You only miss out on the simplified visual interface.

Default Remove theme/menus

How do I go back to default settings? I'd like to make Reaper more similar to Pro Tools if it's possible, since i've started working with a studio technician who uses it.

Also, where did the option "media file" under "track" - "insert" go?

Is this theme available for download on Reaper stash: https://stash.reaper.fm/tag/Themes

I couldn't find it there. Also is it compatible with the latest version of Reaper? I like the bigger font style. Much easier to read and understand.

No, doesn't look like it's available in the Reaper Stash.

Is the download link in the first post (scroll down to the Installation section) not working for you?: https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...09&postcount=1

Just so I'm not screwing anything up, the instructions say to export the configuration. When I go to that option window, I get a whole bunch of options (image attached). Should "configuration" be the only thing that is checked to save? I've also changed a bunch of things in my menus, actions, etc.. do those have to be exported as well?

Check all category boxes on the left, so everything gets exported and saved.

You have the same options for Importing a Configuration: either import all or only specific categories from a saved .ReaperConfigZip file - assuming you have exported all those categories in the first place.

Not sure if it was there in the first place under reamenus.

It's compatible - it's not solely a theme, so it wouldn't be appropriate to upload it to there.

How do I uninstall it? I've found that I don't like it very much as I'm used to the reaper defaults, and also because I can't figure out how to export MIDI which is very important to my job as a composer and orchestrator.

edit: I am using OTR, not regular reaper, and I can't see the restore to factory defaults option in the windows menu

"Installation:
=============

Requirements:
Reaper, installed.
SWS extensions, installed.

0. If you are already a reaper user, you need to backup your configuration files, because you are going to lose your settings. You probably already know how to do this. An easy way is to go to the options menu->preferences->general and click on "export configuration"."

To restore REAPER's default menus:

Options, menus/toolbars

Select Main file from dropdown list
Click Reset button (at bottom)

then Reset all menus to defaults, Reset all toolbars to defaults.

Changing themes is obvious.

If you're on Windows, select REAPER (reset configuration to factory defaults) from the Start menu.

If you're on Mac, delete (or move) the directory <user>/Library/Application Support/REAPER.

Welcome to the forums.

Exceedingly cool! Thank you for all your hard work

As a newb, was just getting settled into using 5.0 default, but this is working well so far... bit of a protools vibe, very nice

I wonder if anyone can tell me if there's a way to change the font style/size/background on the track names??

My only gripe so far... it's making me go a bit cross-eyed on a 13" screen !

I was also surprised to find the MIDI export missing... easy workaround tho - just find export MIDI in the actions list and add a keyboard shortcut

A link to the original version of the reaction skin (this one is modified slightly) is in the first post.
