Default Media Item take names - strange numbering

Not bothering me per se, but curious

Item names which look something like this (example):

10-vox 4-191107_1713.wav

I understand the first few characters (track 10 - track label) but everything after the second hyphen is just a group of odd numbers. Do they mean something? Looks like serial numbers or something. I think this is happening when I do punch-in recordings on various tracks.

PS - wait I think that first group of numbers is a date code (2019, Nov, day 7). Assuming that's correct then it's just the last 4 digits that are ?

Yeah, these are usually date and time stamps.

It's possible to change the filename format for new recorded files under Preferences > Recording (shown starting at around 8:00 in the video) : https://youtu.be/lgN_DLzgU8Y?t=482

Ahh - got it - perfect - now that I know what it is, I'll leave it. Makes sense to me and the info is useful.

Thanks solger!
