Default 2-way recording Skype calls on Windows...

Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can help. I've been scouring the internet for an answer for this, but it evades me.

I have a Win10 PC, Reaper, a Scarlett 2i2 interface with microphone.

I can record fine from the mic into reaper via the interface, however I can't record from Skype, Viber or Duo (using Firefox). I hear them, but they don't record.

I've tried playing with various VAC, with no great success.

My understanding is that this isn't generally an issue with iMac or Linux, but is problematic with Windows machines, though no one really seems to know why.

The interface is connected using ASIO in Reaper's preferences.

Any help, tips, links to tutorials, with this would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Baldrick

You'll need a program called Voicemeeter Banana. It's fairly easy to setup from their webpages instructions.
