Default SF2, AKAI

SF/SF2 is a collection of wav/mp3/or other samples. And they can actually be extracted when needed.
they also need a special software to be played within reaper as reaper does not provide a player for these

is this true?

also
can you please inform me what is AKAI and how they are opened within reaper

thanks!

Both formats are sampler formats.

The simplest way is to use the (free) Tx16Wx for this. The latest version can indeed read Akai disks.
