Default Quickstart PDF manuals

@Updates
(2012 June 23rd) : Added a small hardware guide to Quality Live casting on a budget.

(2011 September 26th): Added locations of the "Insert Virtual Instrument on new track..." to the Multi-Out VSTi PDF. To cut things short, the command is available in the Insert menu at the top and by right-clicking in the empty track control panel area to the left of the arrangment area.

Here are the first three. You're welcome to post ideas for new ones. If you're having trouble with an area of Reaper that you think could do with a Quickstart manual, please post here.

These manuals only a few pages in length at the most, and are layed out to leave no room for error. If you think the manuals can be improved, please post your ideas here.

Left-click on the links. You'll be taken to a download page on stash.reaper.fm.

Quickstart manuals

Audio Device Setup
https://stash.reaper.fm/45171/Device...05%20audio.pdf

This guide asks you to pick the ASIO sound system. In OSX you don't get a choice between different sound systems, so simply pick your sound device on OSX. Other than that, the guide applies to OSX as well.

Friendly bump.

Grab them if you can. I want to know how well it worked for you, especially if it did not.

Hi airon.
I think you should add your video instructions too.
Whilst 64bit video keeps changing by the moment, the links are sound, and should keep most folks out of trouble.

Great Job! There's so much information. I feel the problem is, not many of the users will know that this resource exists ( Not many people might stumble across this after searching ).

I really would suggest the devs ship some of this info with reaper in an 'easy to find' way. It would greatly help make reaper more user and newbie friendly.

For example, sample projects and comprehensive documentation of what happens within them would help a new user to understand different ways to use reaper. ( i guess i learned how to use FL studio primarily by dissecting sample projects, and it worked wonders )

Back to the topic, great manual

Default Thank you -- very helpful!

As a neophyte to this whole world or DAWs, VSTs, and whatever else, these getting started PDFs were very useful. Thank you.

Great work! I was looking for a quick resource to walk some newer newbies through what I understand of Reaper so far. This is a perfect setup trainer!
Thanks!

Default Newbie PDFs stashbox link is broken

Looks like the stashbox newbie pdfs are no longer accessible. Could these be fixed? I know they are very old but i'm a pure newbie so was hoping to take a look.

Maybe its an issue with your computer? Mine occasionally refuses to open documents if the applications I use are outdated (compared to the source program)

MIDI and VST guides aren't working for me either. Opening a PDF has nothing to do with the program itself.

All three links to the quickstart manuals are reuploaded and should work just fine now.

Go to post #1 at the top to get them.
