Hey there,
I wanted to start a thread about the theme modification I made. The original theme is "Concerto" by Blankfiles (
Forum-thread "Concerto" and
Concerto on Reaper-Stash).

Screenshot of my modification (may not include all recent changes, I'Ve made so far):
Here is the changelog so far:
First changes:
- MIDI notes in the arranger are now much brighter (unselected and selected)
- I made the odd and even track lanes have the same color
Update 2020-02-28:
- the grid lines on the measure start are brighter now
Update 2020-02-29:
- beats in the MIDI editor slightly brighter
- selection in the MIDI editor is smoother and fits the overall selection color
Update 2020-03-03:
- changed editing guide line color to something more visible
- the grid lines on the measures, beats etc. are now darker
Update 2020-03-04:
- further changed the inbetween grid line brightness a bit
Update 2020-03-11:
- brighter media item label
- brighter edges of grouped media items
- darker media item fader/volume controls
- darkened the media item selection
- brightened selected tracks a bit
Update 2020-03-12:
- changed timeline font a bit
- changed editing guide line color
- the edit cursor is now brighter and the play cursors has a color
- the time selection area has a slight color and is consistent in color in the MIDI editor as well
- selected tcp is brighter
- bypassed FX are darker now
- tcp label font is a bit bigger now
Update 2020-03-14:
- With the help of amagalmas Script "Adjust theme colors" (thank you, amagalma!) I brightened the overall theme a bit. IMPORTANT: now the PNG elements of the theme are not 100% correct in color anymore. It might look a tiny bit off now. I'll see, if I will adjust every PNG as well in the future!
Update 2020-03-24:
- The minimum height of a track is a tiny bit smaller now. Maybe even smaller tracks will be possible in the future ... I have to look into this.
Update 2020-03-25:
- fixed and organized the rtconfig.txt a bit
- tracks can now be even smaller! (yay)
Update 2020-03-30:
- changed arrangement of TCP; especially in other sizes (in the end the mute and solo buttons do not jump anymore and stay consistent throughout the design now)
- changed the TCP selection background colors to make it look more smooth
- cleaned up the TCP theme area in the theme file (was a bit messy there)
- fix: the input FX are now visible
Update 2020-04-05:
- Added layouts for hiding the "glogbal automation" button in the transport bar
- Improved the grid-enable button
- Made the transport buttons a bit more responsive for narrow screens
- Changed the IO graphic to make it look less busy and aligned the texts
- Darkened the "Window edit background" a bit
- Almost redesigned the whole mixer:
-> Cleaned the MCP rtconfig code
-> Changed colors and design for selected MCP channels a bit
-> Empty FX inserts in the MCP do have a graphic now, this making it more obvious that it is an insert slot
-> Also removed the "FX" from the empty FX inserts area - it should be obvious that this area is the FX section (I hope)
-> Brightened the inner of the meters to make the area even with now meter output clearly visible as a meter with meaning
-> Meter-lines are not "burned" anymore into the background image; instead it uses the Reaper readout lines now
-> Fixed the overall responsivity, almost pixel perfect on a full HD screen, at least
-> Fixed some MCP graphics, which had no "non-stretch markers" (the pink in the graphics)
-> "BIG MASTER" Layout inherits from the default one; no new graphics anymore
-> Slight folder indentation added
Update 2020-04-06:
- Grid button improved again
- pan knob is now centered, if no width knob exists
- Changed label colors a bit
- Darkened selected TCP white area a bit
- MCP folder indentation is now like in the Reaper v6 theme
- Removed input from the MCP
- Adjusted the "Auto" text
Update 2020-04-14:
- Piano keys are now dark
Update 2020-04-15:
- Added "SEPARATOR" MCP layouts
Update 2020-05-14:
- Added the new TCP Layouts "Alternative TCP" and "Alternative MCP"
-> these layouts have a non-gradient selection indication
-> and they have the track color instead of just the bright area underneath the track label
