Default Control surface jog resolution

I'm using an Asparion D400T/D400F control surface. I love this with Reaper, but I've got one issue so far: the jog wheel's sensitivity is tied to the zoom level of the edit window.

I'd like to lock the jog wheel so that every step forward or backward moves a single frame in H:M:S:F mode. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

For whatever it's worth, I know people with other control surfaces who have the same issue. So I'm convinced this is a Reaper issue, not a control surface issue. I'm just wondering if there's a setting somewhere that will adjust this behavior. I haven't found it yet

Does the jog wheel send MIDI? is it some HUI scompatible standard?

If it can be trapped, it can be used to trigger the SWS action "Xenakios/SWS: Move cursor left(/right) configured seconds", which can then be set to 0.04s or whatever frame spacing you need.

Alternatively you can use it to run a script action which moves to the nearest frame and then by a frame each instance.

I use the contour shuttle, which sends key press events and can be then actioned however you want. I suspect the controller driver you're using in REAPER is actioning "View: Move cursor right one pixel" or similar in its code, which is completely related to the zoom magnification.

I'm not that clever on control surfaces, maybe there is (or should be) an ini file that is referenced that sets things like jog action/resolution.

It's Mackie Control style control, not sure if that's HUI or MIDI or something else, but this definitely gives me an idea on where to look. I'll see if I can figure out how actions are tied to the input and go from there. Thanks!

Hey everybody.
I dig up this thread.
I use Behringer X Touch One.
My problem is a progressive gap created by my scroll button.
If I begin correctly at position 1:1:000 and turn the scroll I should arrive theorically at 1:2:000 ans then 1:3:000 etc...
And no, I will arrive at 1:2:003 and after 1:3:006, 1:4:009 etc...
So how can I calibrate the jog resolution ?

That is the question ;-)
