Default Saving files ?

I'm having a bit of a problem here and was wondering if I could get some help.
At the end of a single session Reaper asked me if I want to 》 save changes.
If I click "yes" then where is that file found ?
Because if I play with other projects after that, it disappears from "recent projects" and I lose all that effort .

The project will still be there. And unless you've set it up differently when you click "Open Project" instead of Recent Projects then Reaper will open the folder where all your projects are saved by default. Then all you need to do is remember the name of the project. There's not a lot I can do to help you with that.

Also if you go into Preferences/General you can also change the number of projects saved in the Recent Projects list.

"Recent projects" is not a folder location on your hard drive! It is a feature in Reaper that keeps track of the project files you have recently opened. They're all still where you originally saved them in your file system.

It saves wherever you chose to save this project the first time you saved it.
Using save just overwrites the existing file.

If you don't remember what you called it then you could search your system for all files with .rpp extension.

Hmmm. Thank you for all the suggestions.
I'm pretty sure I looked through all my system files .
Even searched for the named projects too but came up empty.
One of the projects was called The Test.
If I searched the whole drive for The Test without the the .rpp , would it come up empty? Or does the .rpp need to be attached ?

In general, try to use different keyword combinations for a search and see what the search results are.
As examples:

- The Test.rpp
- The Test
- Test.rpp
- Test
- .rpp
- *.rpp
