Some pretty cool stuff, but all the knobs and switches, wow.
I think #10 the VCV Rack would quickly drive me insane.

Doesn't it look great, though? Peeps be like,
"Wow, do you know what all that stuff does?" And I be like,
"Yes. Yes, I do."
Got my straight face down and everything.

Yes it does.
But in my case, a likely scenario would be, "How's that new synth working out?"
Answer, "Don't know, haven't figured out how to turn it on yet."

Pro-tips:
1) Presets;
2) Lies.
As a kid, I always dreamed of having one of those ancient modular beasts that takes up the whole of the garage. I never even got a garage. Still, though the course may change sometimes, rivers always reach the sea....

Hate to hijack the thread, but I remember Rick Wakeman doing Journey to the Center of the Earth. The rig he was using looked like something from NASA.

I built a modulat donkeys years ago & it was a right pain in the ass. I had to run a hair drier into it to keep the temperature (and the oscillators) consistently "in tune". I use that phrase loosely, but at least the hair drier reduced drifting somewhat.
The piccy brought back som fun memories and some very frustrating ones.
Most fun I ever had with a synth was my little Korg M20 that I foolishly gave away when I left the USA, along with a roland 303 and 606! Ouch.
