Default Nice free K1 synth, but no gui, then complete sys lockup

Tested in wine/win-Reaper 5.9 and 6.12, wine 5.10, Ubuntu Studio 19.10,
among others.

https://www.nilsschneider.de/wp/cate...aik1emulation/

sounds are Kawai K1 factory and cards, presets advance using arrow keys...BUT...there is no gui, reapers slider gui works to a point,
but most other actions lock up reaper and the entire OS, not even
Ctrl Alt F5 is available. Will try with LinVst soon.

Someone brave with different setup might have better results?

Win Reaper users have this thread:

Another topic is at kvr instruments page, a very well received synth,
as the sounds generally are not a convoluted mess, so easy to
fit in actual music.
Cheers

Default

Using linux reaper/linvst 2.82, first attempt brought a core dump.
Next attempt was better, but still brought down the system
when venturing away from playing the presets. On a setup that
runs Massive X, Kontakt, SynthMaster etc.

When loading the K1, I did see a lot of chatter in the terminal about d3d10 and d3d11, so maybe there lies the crux of the trouble for now.
Cheers
