Default Pan Right = no volume

Greetings all,

I'm working on a song and have a harmony that is panned right. As I pan right, the track gets quiet.

It's under a BG Vox Buss which is under a Vox Buss. When I look at my Vox Buss, it goes from normal volume (Center) to almost no volume when I hard pan to the right.

What's going on? I've seen this popping up on other threads but haven't seen much result.

This is only happening on one track.

My guess: a mono plugin (put after a stereo plugin) in some of your effect chains on one of the busses is causing this.

My guess is that Valle is correct.

Check the I/O pin routing of the plugins on that track. One of them will probably only be outputting channel 1.

I will check that out. I noticed that it is routed to my Vox FX Buss and I only heard the reverb.

Should I use stereo plugins on mono track?

There is no such thing as an actual mono, as in single channel, track in REAPER. All tracks have (at least) two outputs.

If you click the in/out button at the top right of the plugin window, you can see the outputs of the plugin. You probably have only channel 1 output checked on one or more of your plugins. That would create the behaviour you are hearing, as the default pan is actually a balance knob, so turning it 100% right mutes the left channel.

Here is the correct routing for getting mono output:

A WINNER IS YOU!

That was it. I had FabFilter Pro Q-2 on my Vox Buss and it didn't have a mono-r selected. I added that and it's g2g.
