Default Go to previous/next track does not work after renaming track

Hello,

System:
OSX Catalina (10.15.4)
Reaper (portable) v6.12c/64 rev 8af23c (Jun 15 2020)

Can someone confirm this:

1. Assign actions "Track: Go to Next Track" / "Track: Go to Previous Track" to shortcut Down / Up (arrows).
2. Add a couple of track.
3. Rename one of them.
4. Observe that the action can't be used with Up/Down.
5. Click the project window with the mouse.
6. Observe that it works now.

Expected behaviour would be that it's not necessary to click the project window for the actions to work again.

Workarounds:
- If the actions are assigned to anything else than Up, Down, Left or Right-arrows (modifiers solves the problem, like Shift + Up, etc) it changes track as expected.
- Also, setting the arrows to scope "Global" solves the problem, but that disables any ability to scroll through lists in other functions of the DAW.

If this is confirmed, this should be considered a bug in my opinion, it's a huge workflow-hog when trying to quickly rename several tracks with shortcuts, and it doesn't really make sense if it's a "feature".

EDIT: Confirmed that v.6.11 does not have this behaviour. This is after the 6.12 update. So it's definitely a bug.

Best,
Andreas

Bump. Has this been added to the roadmap? This bug is preventing me from updating Reaper until it's fixed, it's impossible to create a large template renaming properly as long as this is the behaviour.

It was new i 6.12.

Hi,
confirmed on 6.13 on MacOS Mojave 10.14.6.

I was considering a different workaround strategy where I'd make a custom action that would simulate a click on the arrange window, for example by focusing on an element in the arrange window after changing track. Unfortunately I haven't found yet an action as dummy as possible.

Cheers,
Lib
