Default Mouse wheel *only* to zoom?

Is there a way to make it so that the mouse wheel *only* zooms - in other words, regardless of where you've got the mouse it will always zoom in/out?

nope - not yet

it currently zooms or scrolls depending on whether you push the mouse button as you roll - unless it's over a fader.

I've requested more than once that the mouse wheel have an option to switch between zoom/scroll (which I like) and more effective fader tweaking (which others seem to want). I don't find the two to mix very well either.

EnergyXT has it just brilliant I think.

Mouse wheel:
scrolls in the tracks
zooms in the top time line.
scrolls vertically in the TCP

Thats all I need and with no modifier except position.

I'd prefer it zoom on both axis', but....

The big thing is I like developing a muscle reflex for something. I can't do that with the wheel if I have to consider where the pointer is, which is annoying.
