Thanks folks
- Minimum realistic resolution is about 1080px high. If you've only got the one, then you're going to need to undock and flip between mixer and everything else. Apparently a mapped footpedal is killer for that. I'm developing it with my two 1900x1200 screens, which is ...nice.
- Expected date for a public beta would be 2015. Maybe 2016. That's about as much as I'm prepared to commit to!
- If you don't have a big screen, you have a choice of many hundreds of other themes. There is also the Dead Ringer layout for you, but don't expect too much.
Testers - Nice, I would certainly appreciate more testers if they are the right people, thanks! Please only contact me if you are able to start your message with "I have discretion, an IRC client, at least one big monitor and very good manners". I'll clear some space on my PMs in a moment. Can I respectfully ask not to email me with anything related to this? If you do / already have, please understand that I probably won't read it, I've got busy workstuff going on there.

I have discretion, an IRC client, at least one big monitor, very good manners and Tourette, bitch.
Just kidding, I don't have a big monitor.
This theme gives me a woody nonetheless.

I quite like the Dead Ringer Colonial 4000XL PRO theme, looks pretty great : simple and elegant ! I think I'm more likely to use that one instead of the Imperial theme. Amazing work by the way !

Daaaamn simply and honesty the BEST DAW THEME on the market ever. I think that this THEME will get an AWARD for BEST DAW THEMED of 2012, I'm pretty sure and if Cockos #Justin (I think he should consider) make this the Reaper Default for the next big Release Version of Reaper, thats it!!
Daaaaaaaaaaaamn, I don't know how many times I simply came back just to check the Screenshots only, imagine when this will be available?
Thank you sir #WT

I am speechless. It's beautiful! Very classy and detailed. It had to be lot of work, but the effect is simply stunning! Reaper will win "the most beautiful DAW in the world" contest.

awesome! since we've got til 2015, any chance of making the transport varispeed knob a studer thumbwheel to match the rest of your totally cool studer 800 styled buttons?
see here for wheel: http://apkaudio.com/eBay/Studer%20A812/Pages/3.html
or a really old school studer varispeed?

I am stunned!! These are the best theme ideas I've ever seen...EVER. I almost wept. I will buy another monitor just for this. Actually I was going to get one anyway...but if I wasn't, I would.
Brilliant.

Damn man, I know people sound like a broken record when they say this. But this is the level of "mind-blowing" that should have been shown off in the default theme.
Love everything I'm seeing in this thread. Thanks for sharing, WT.

duh.. needless to say it's an astonishing piece of Art, but making this default would be ridiculous. it's like the last theme in the world i'd choose as a default.
like most, it does make me think about getting a bigger screen... great work. am curious to see how the bus thing works

Hey WT, isn't it so unusual getting such a strong positive reaction?
Maybe it's because the magic "default theme" sequence is not involved here?
Joking apart, this is a king of beauty work; I don't think it will be my goto theme because I've got only one HD screen and other themes surely allow more tracks to fit, but surely this theme is wonderful and raise the bar of DAW appearance.
Thank you for another viking result.
- Mario

Thanks a million people!
Mentioning the default theme in relation to a personal theme I'm working on, in any context, even if meant as a generous complement, terribly kind, thanks ...demotivates me from working on that personal theme. Maybe that's a flaw of mine, maybe not, but I share it as fact, not worth even discussing. FYI. (Its also cliché #1 of the theme forum )

I'm serious when I ask this: Would money provide an incentive in finishing this theme? I personally, would be willing to drop some good sized coin to have the finished product. Oh, and I love the default theme...

Level of ''mind-blowing''. I never suggested that THIS be the default theme, lol. This LEVEL of detail, attention. There's a huge difference.
This would never work with most people's monitor's. But it's sure beautiful.
Like you, makes me want to get a bigger monitor.
Even that other one is real nice.

well you never know it might be a bitch to use - doubt it though.
even so - you could always switch back to classic1 when the dickheads you're trying to impress for some reason, have left.
the other plus is that everyones studio is going to get an expensive sounding analog upgrade for nothing courtesy of mr T and 'perception'.

Well, I'd love to be a tester.
I have discretion, a big monitor and very good manners.
However,I don't have/use an IRC client.
