Default Problem when I load plugins NadIr and Emissary

Hi everyone,

When I load the plugins NAdIR and Emissary on Reaper linux version (too Carla) they load with black background and they don't load with their graphic interface.

I used LinVst-2.5 to convert this plugins.

With lepoul plugins this doesn't happen and they load correctly.

Can anybody help me?

thanks so much and sorry for my english :-D

Regards

Does it work if you load them without Carla?

I only use Carla with LV2 plugins, all others the ordinary way.

Just a guess in the blue. Do you have compositing enabled?
If yes, try to disable it.

I downloaded and use LinVST to create .so files for both dll files. Put everything inside my VST folder and started Reaper. Clicked on add FX and there they are and loads perfect. No need to use Carla, they don't show up there for me. Have you downloaded some other format?

I used LinVst-2.5 to convert this plugins and the lepoul plugins. Lepoul plugins load perfectly on Reaper.
All windows plugins .dll were converted to .so
I use carla and reaper independently. I execute Carla on Claudia (application of Cadence) no with Reaper

Maybe it's the same problem with this as it was with Powerdrumkit. You need to add d2d? in winecfg and disable it if I remember correctly. If that wasnt there Powerdrumkit loaded with no graphics.

Are you using a WineHQ wine version or are you using wine-rt?

I'm using:
wine-4.10 (Staging) on Kubuntu (lowlatency) testing this distro now. So far, very good.

I followed this install guide:
https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu

I think I had some problem with wine-rt for couple of month ago and changed to Wine Staging. All problems was solved.

obtain the .dll from your windows partition,
in folder

C:\windows\system32

or from a trusted reliable source.
Open the winecfg 'libraries' tab interface.
After installing the full version .dll file,
in .wine/drive_c/windows/system32
type it's name in the letterbox on the winecfg libraries tab,
but omit the .dll extension, enter just d2d1 in this case,
and press the 'apply' button.

I don't delete the originals in system32 folder,
but append their name with something typed in ALLCAPS
so they can quickly be spotted in a file manager,
for renaming, if the addition has caused some
major regression rather than winning the issue.
Then I copy the new .dll alongside the renamed one.
Below are the .dlls I use on a regular basis,
in my wine-staging setups. You can install a different
linux on an external drive, just for wine-staging,
which also may be lucky in general for testing
and keeping a working setup ready at all times.

For windows 'killer apps', it may be good to have a dedicated
new .wine folder to begin with, adding only what is needed
for success, then add in supplemental plugins to fill out
a production/daw environment.

I'm using wine-staging 4.10 with Xubuntu 18.04, and all my Windows VST/VSTi plugins are happy.

Hello!

I have uninstalled wine-rt and installed wine-4.10 Staging.

Now Emissary 2.0 and NadIR 1.0 plugins load correctly but NadIR 2.0 doesn't load well (I tried activating and deactivating d2d1 library)

It's an advance!!!

Thanks so much!!!
