Default 24 Tracks From Yammy DM1000 to Reaper/Mac?

Needing to track up to 24 inputs from my Yamaha DM1000 to Reaper on my Mac.

Working my brain into a knot over this one. Would love to do this without an interface (is mLan even a possibility?) but even having trouble finding interfaces that are more than 16I/O on Firewire.

Time to get that G5 I have been lusting after and go PCI?

Thanks for any ideas.

And BTW, don't EVEN suggest PT. It sucks!

D.

I believe you will need an interface. You might need to use multiple interfaces to accomplish this.

On OS X you can use this: http://www.apple.com/pro/techniques/aggregateaudio/

Presonus Firestudio Lightpipe, Firestudio 2626, M-Audio ProFire 2626, Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56, Motu 828... They are many.

FS Lightpipe takes 32 channels in four ADAT ins, others have only 16 channels of ADAT in and 8 analog (and perhaps two S/PDIF's).
