How to add some more actions "Load track template"
Hi everyone, I found actions "Load track template 01, 02, 03...etc very useful. I made my own toolbar where I use these actions for loading tracks with VST instruments that I use very often. See the picture below. The problem is that there are only 10 numbers of the action. I would like to have at least 20. How to do that?

I know it's not the same thing, but in just two clicks I can access any amount of track templates including FX etc in separate folders.
Just made a toolbar button to open the track templates folder like this...

Thanks, good idea. But I like to have images of the virtual instruments in the toolbar and just by one clicking to open track with the instrument I need.

TonE is right, but it uses a different action:
SWS/S&M: Resources - Import tracks from track template, slot 3
or 1,2,4,19,20,etc.
You set them up in the SWS Resources Window.
This is the line in S&M.ini you change to get more than 4:
S&M_ADD_TRTEMPLATE=20
REAPER is supposed to be off when you change that. Might be 99 max for that one.

Thank you FnA, yea this is a different action that doesn't work as I want. The action open folder with track templates.

I actually don't have it like you see on the picture, it was just for this thread purpose. I docked with the mixer window on my second screen. But on the left is a great idea too.

There is one huge advantage to using the Resources to import template tracks, over a toolbar:
Let's assume you have some template tracks saved for your favourite reverbs and delays (or whatever FX). In my case I saved template tracks for 3 different reverbs, some delays and Infected Mushroom.
If you set those fx track templates up as slots in Resources, you can apply one of those FX to an _already existing_ track.
So if you have a track with a virtual synth, and want a delay after it, you can drag that template from the Resources page onto the existing track.
I also made a toolbar so I could easily go to my favourite synths, but ended up going back to the Resources method.
PS: Christmas Dinner - Jirka Mucha is a beautiful track!!

Thank you all for your suggestions I just found out, that when I create new template and name it like 11, 12, 13 etc, it automatically creates a new action called Load track template 11, 12, 13...
