Default Can ReaComp use same settings as other ....

Hey guys, my Mp3 player has a built-in Dynamics Processor with Compressor, limiter and AGC. Please see attached screenshot of it.

Would it be possible to set ReaComp to those same settings please?

Not sure what you want to do. Yes, you can set ReaComp to those settings, sure. But do those settings mean the same amount of change on the mp3 player and in Reaper?? Highly doubtful, I'd think, they're 2 different things made by 2 different companies! Maybe you'd get lucky - you could try it and see what you get, yes.
If you're trying to match the sound the thing gets you, you could also mess around and try to do it by ear, doing an "A/B" comparison.

Thanks. We have adjusted the ReaComp corresponding fields to match those of my player's Compressor settings. I will try this out for a while to see what happens.

Meantime myself and friend [Eric] who helped me with this are wondering what the "Pre-comp" field in ReaComp is for please?

Thank You. That's very impressive that it "looks ahead". Last question please, how do set the ReaComp to "default" settings so I can switch between the saved preset and the default for comparison?

"Default"? When I open it, it is set to some arbitrary things, is that what you mean? I wonder if anyone uses it with those settings...

Open yours, it should be at 'default'....or select the 'reset to factory default' in the presets to 'reset' after looking at another preset. Bear in mind it starts basically not active, with threshold so high nothing will happen. To "A/B" you might just set it, and click 'bypass' checkbox to see what things are like with NO compression.

Ok, thanks, in my case I want to test now the default as I had been using it vs the preset we have now created from the mp3 player's compressor..

Just tried them both, the ReaComp default is a lot better than our settings, appreciate the help, thank you!
