Default ReaGate causing click in the middle of closed gate?!?

https://streamable.com/9ed7ga

The kick track (lower) is soloed. A click is heard in the middle of silence when the gate is on. It sounds quiet in the video, but it's there. The audio is nowhere near the threshold level.

Is it a bug in ReaGate? Been working on an album and now I'm afraid I have to go through every track to check if ReaGate is doing this.

Edit: It appears to be an issue with the DAC. It happens after the audio is silent for 25ms or so - every time. If I switch to another audio interface, it does not click.

Probably not. It's very hard to tell what's going on from your example. Perhaps make a minimal project showing the behaviour and upload that?

No, ReaGate is not buggy. Gateing live audio can be tricky. Make sure to filter out everything you don't need in order to trigger, stray frequencies can cause havoc if you need a clean gate.

I wouldn't worry too much though, this seems more of a technicality than anything else. If it sounds good it is good. Noone but you will be listening to the soloed kick track.

Have you tried the settings on the audio device page for buggy drivers?

I'm not sure what that means.

My "WaveOut" Audio System doesn't have those options.
