Default Notation: Set MAXIMUM display quantization note length

We have the action
"Notation: Set minimum display quantization note length to ..."

But, to enter MIDI guitar notes in a realistic way, you have to make the note longer to sustain if it's an open string or if it's inside a chord, for example.

If you proceed in doing that, while it's all very fine in the piano roll, it becomes messy and unreadable in the notation display.

What if we had
"Notation: Set MAXIMUM display quantization note length to ..."

Where the piano roll note length would not be affect by the piano roll length in its maxium length context.

My request is adding such an action.

Haven't had the problem yet, but I see that this can be an issue. But I don't think that a maximum length alone will make a clear score. The point is that if the note starts at some weak (syncopated) point Reaper will try to cut off the note at the same spot. The result will be an ugly mess of tied notes.

So I suggest that the length should be rounded off to avoid ties. This means that the final note head of the last bar will be a quarter, a half or a whole note depending on your configuration (per track). I don't think an eight or lower makes much sense if all you want is to see that the note is meant to be sustained and not damped in any way.
