Default What Mic is this?

Came across this video and wanted to know what this mic is?

I am guessing it is a Rode but could be the NT1A or NT1000

1. You need to put this sort of stuff in the lounge, not MIDI/OSC etc...
2. It could indeed be a rode but you cant really see enough to be sure.

It isnt a Rode NT1 but could possibly be a Rode NT1a as you say.

Why do you want to know, btw?

Have a look on the Rode website. It's an NT1000 ...

Sorry, my mistake.

A friend of mine is struggling to decide between the Blue Spark Condenser and a Rode NT1A.

He borrowed my Blue Spark but is struggling to get a sound like that and is convinced the Rode will solve his problems.

I'm new to this so I can't really advise him on the mic or how to get the mix to sound of that quality.

1.(grin) Just posted apologising for mistakenly thinking you put it in the wrong place..... and I was right but some sneaky moderator moved it in the meantime! I hate when that happens... I am easily confused anyway

2. I hated my RodeNT1 original and swapped it as soon as I coudl find a sucker (grin) but apparently the NT1a is better. Wound up with a Rode Classic which I LOVE.

Haha

I find the blue spark very clear and I am convinced the track I posted isn't so much to do with the mic but rather the fx applied. Some say its overly compressed and auto-tuned.

I think my next purchase might be a Rode NT1000, switching the blue spark for acoustic guitar tracking.
