How to reuse a Lower Third project?
So I downloaded a lower third project and tweaked it to do what I want. I saved it, so that gives me an RPP, so that's great.
So I want to reuse that lower third in all of the videos I'm working on this month. I haven't a clue how to do that. Import it into an item and make it a subproject maybe? That works for audio. Does it work for video?

Subprojects don't work for video: only the audio part will be considered. The simplest way is to render that 3rd video in high quality (or even lossless) and use the result as a new item in your other projects. The Girafx lib could offer an alternative by grouping all the elements of that 3rd video project into a single new video source but this is advanced stuff that I haven't covered yet in my tutorials. Better stick with the first solution. |

After some finagling I managed to save it as a track template. I learned a lot in the process. I feel it's good enough for what I'm doing this month.

A lower third is a common term for any graphic animation that takes place in the lower third of a video. For example, the little animated song title and logo that you might see at the start of a music video, commonly displayed in the lower third of the screen.
